Day 48 & 49

The brick water table is finish...there were some extra bricks, I wonder will they let me keep them.

They have prep themselves for the installation of the siding...so excited!!! You can see the poles going around the house. More pictures of the inside... This is the kitchen area and you can see the gas hook up...I hate electric stoves, ugh...original the stove was suppose to be on the island (which I was not in favor of - because it takes up space). But if we wanted the double walled ovens, the package called for it to put the stove on the island. At our pre-construction meeting I notice the plans that our PM had, it had a plan island with no oven on it and the oven was on the counter. So I asked numerous times for clarity and if this is correct. He told me that they change the specs and we were still getting the double walled ovens, (another reason for the long wait for the building permits), well lets just wait and find out down the road, shall we. This what the stove will look like. But they might change it because this is a down drafted oven.

What day is this?

Oh yeah day 46 and 47...43 days plus to go. I say plus because... they are not giving up the exact day now; Builders.

Like we say...well anyways

I took a couple of pictures. Inside of the garage you will see a stack of boxes; These are the siding for front of the house and the color is Almond.

We went with siding because it was way less expensive than brick and the extra cash we can get more inside of the house. But there will be a brick water table that goes from the bottom of the windows down...remember the model elevation E. Also, there were three houses being built that went with the Covington E elevation...Two went with brink and we went with siding.

I believe the siding looks better. I will get a snapshot of their houses when available and you all can judge.

A little camera action.

Above is where the washer and dryer goes. I was going to wait for black Friday to get these but for half off from the builder, I couldn't resist. Frontload Washer GE Energy Star 3.6 DOE

And the twin GE 7.0 cu ft. Electric Dryer... MSRP they both are 899.99 each which we got 700 for both. So I couldn't resist. The 50% on all option had me sold.

Day 34 - The Wrap

The wrapping of the house

Inside of the house. First the basement rough-ins. Here is the basement flex room...we can do multiple things here (small bedroom for temporary guest or a fitness room to whip us in shape), it has a closet and full bathroom attached with two access doors.

Storage area right through the doorway

On this side of the basement is where the entertainment will be. 5.1 speakers will be installed into the walls and ceiling for maximum audio performance.

Then as you proceed upstairs you will notice a closet on the right.

Now upstairs; first floor Kitchen, family room, library, I didn't take f the dining room and living room, sorry more to come later.
